Gunners Vs Wanderers

The final was postponed till next weekend, but the game between Gunners and the Wanderers commenced yesterday afternoon, which in my opinion should be postponed as well, but who am I to say, reason for that is this game should be played in the morning, but postponed to the afternoon. Might have effect the mindset of the players.
The Gunners won the game 8-1 and take the final spot in the final against Zombies X. The Wanderers gave a good fight early in the game held tight, making every play but being the rising stars is one thing and not enough experiences is another, they lost their concentration in the 5th, making errors, and slowed recover from it. Congrats to the Gunners.
Some pics HERE.

President's cup semi

PLK Zombies Y was up against the experienced Gunners while PLK Zombies X was against the Wanderers young rising stars. Different result in the end, Zombies Y played well in the first 5 innings, they even lead the game and held the Gunners firm. But a game was not only based on determination, their mental part of the game is still need to be fix, though the chance for them to fix it is still widely available. In the end the Gunners won 8 - 2.

The game between Zombies X and the Wanderers was a bit different. The Wanderers fielding their rising stars was a very good strategy. They were good in fielding and their batting was very impressive. Zombies X lead the game all the way though the Wanderers try to make a come back. But Zombies X held firm, and won the game 6 - 4. Well done to the PLK Zombies X, the final will be tomorrow. Good luck to The Gunners and Thne Wanderers, the winner will meet PLK Zombies X in the final.
The only pic I took using my camera phone, while I was base coaching... shhhhhh....
I took this pic, before he hit a bunt homerun, I wonder.... what will happen if I took all the Zombies Y players pic, will they hit a homerun? Not being superstitious am I? :)
Congrats G'amat, you are very lucky.....

Sunday The 17th Feb

Sunday... it was kinda judgement day for PLK Zombies X & Y and the Black Arrows, all three have to win their respective game. The X was up against the JAGs, X won the game 12-3. While B.A won against Zombies Y 13-4. All 3 teams won 2 game each, with same points gained, the runs for was taken into account. So in group A, top of the pile is PLK Zombies X, followed by the B.A, PLK Zombies Y and JAG.
All of them hold the catalyst bat, can u spot the differences? apart from the inner shirt, the knee guard and they arent brothers. A lunch treat for the right answer with the right reason. Oh btw each have one chance ;)

Looks the same, not brothers, play different teams, are they cloned?

Sunday The 10th Feb

The start of the President's cup second round yesterday, Sunday 10th, Both PLK Zombies X & Y played two games. PLK Zombies X won their first match against the Black Arrows while The Y won against the JAG. As for the X, they played well that morning, made zero error in fielding. Their batting meanwhile may not at best but it was something to be proud of. For the Y, I'm sorry I cant comment their game since I was busy with the X. Anyway the Arrows did well actually, but then again there must be only one winner/loser in a match.

The X mascot. I wonder who. Perhaps Loosing his mind.
So priceless.........
In the afternoon, The X vs Y, the Y won that match. Though many thought that it was supposed to be an easy game, it was actually set for no mercy type. The Y won it because they were very good in batting, while the X must have left their batting somewhere. Anyway congrats to Y for their best effort and strategy.

The 4 B's. Black Big Beauty Boynezzz.....
Sorry Boynez.......
Sleep late or woke up early, or.... too much Dim Sum MJ? ;)

Friendly with RNR

PLK Zombies has a friendly game with RNR, kinda a warm up match before the President's cup 2nd round that'll will start this sunday. It was fun, few errors that cant be fix. We won 8-4, poor batting let us down, defensively we were quite impressive. The RNR pitcher was also very good, well they do improved a lot the RNRs, good luck to all for the upcoming 2nd round.
Priceless.....

The Junior

The Zombies Junior team jersey. Ever heard of Zombies junior?. Well It was in the 90's, If I'm not mistaken, we formed a junior team, which consists of teenagers that were younger than us. The aim was that, these guys will compete with the seniors, well the zombies, for the spot to play in any tournament, which they did well actually, to compete with us I mean. I managed these lads and they really did well, played well, and were shaped, coached, trained by the seniors. They even almost beat the seniors in a friendly, since we were their seniors, just opened our eyes big makes them scared. Naaahhhh, it's a joke, The seniors, us, have to, like really concentrate, so that they dont beat us, it'll be quite embarassing if they beat us, wont it?.
But those times were a very hard time for them, they were young, average I think is 13 yrs old, for some reasons, they ran away and formed another team. Lucky for us, they forgot some of the way they played when they were the junior, otherwise they'll beat us now. Later some of the faithfuls joined the senior team and played with the zombies till now, and some still playing for other teams. For us the Zombies, we still can see that the some un-so-faithfuls still play the zombies way of softballing (the zombies secret receipe to success), well we shaped them right.

Thats more like it

Well, probably no pics for this post, but then again I would like to congratulate PLK Zombies X and Y for both won their respective matches. In the 8am clash PLK Zombies Y won their match against Black Arrows, though trailing right from the bottom first inning, they never gave up, slowly but surely they managed to lead the game if I'm not mistaken from the top 5th till the end, they won it by 1 run but their determinations, teamworks and team spirits were there to be proud of. Also Zombies #68 hit an in-park homerun, lucky him. The Y won it 11-10. Oh ya I forgot to mention about the new rising star of PLK Zombies, Zombies #59, he swung the bat well, especially when they needed the points most, he made a 3 base hits when the bases were loaded, cool ey, well done, but the credits are actually for all, just that #59 who only played softball for less than half a year got the more credits.
Oh well the X won against Banzai 10-1, they played well though, the X, inspite of the injury to their 1st & 3rd baseman and the leftfielders and the centrefielder who has fever actually. They are the best, the injureds, but we cant afford to bench them since we are the only one we've got, no other substitute, due to unforseen circumstances. So thanks also for their determinations and teamworks marshalled by their pitcher, they played well, some errors but comes to think of it, they are all worth it.
Well done to both teams X and Y. Keep up the good work.
Practise hard, play well.
