Thats more like it

Well, probably no pics for this post, but then again I would like to congratulate PLK Zombies X and Y for both won their respective matches. In the 8am clash PLK Zombies Y won their match against Black Arrows, though trailing right from the bottom first inning, they never gave up, slowly but surely they managed to lead the game if I'm not mistaken from the top 5th till the end, they won it by 1 run but their determinations, teamworks and team spirits were there to be proud of. Also Zombies #68 hit an in-park homerun, lucky him. The Y won it 11-10. Oh ya I forgot to mention about the new rising star of PLK Zombies, Zombies #59, he swung the bat well, especially when they needed the points most, he made a 3 base hits when the bases were loaded, cool ey, well done, but the credits are actually for all, just that #59 who only played softball for less than half a year got the more credits.

Oh well the X won against Banzai 10-1, they played well though, the X, inspite of the injury to their 1st & 3rd baseman and the leftfielders and the centrefielder who has fever actually. They are the best, the injureds, but we cant afford to bench them since we are the only one we've got, no other substitute, due to unforseen circumstances. So thanks also for their determinations and teamworks marshalled by their pitcher, they played well, some errors but comes to think of it, they are all worth it.

Well done to both teams X and Y. Keep up the good work.

Zombies X and Y

It's been awhile I didn't post anything here, I was pretty tied up with works and other commitments, and I'm sorry for that. Not that the softball season is over, its just that, I just cant squeeze my time for this blog of mine.

Anyway it was totally different scenario last sunday. Both teams PLK Zombies X and Y, played a game each last sunday. X won against Warriors 12-0, but to my shocked is the Y, lost to RNR 8-6. I'm not saying that RNR is easy team, its just that I believe Y can do better. Well I'm sure something must have gone wrong for the Y. Unlucky for me only available for them right before the game started, after that I was called for work, darn..... Anyway Congrats to both team and to Y, don't lose faith, you all know you can do better. Its easier said than done, but nothing is easy and nothing is impossible. To all "Stars are made, NOT born". I found/read that somewhere just can't remember where, oh well must have been I'm infected by the age factor virus, the forgetfulness.

X vs Y

Some may think this is just a game between brothers where one might just let the other to win, but the fact is that, that game was a very good fight to the end type game. Though the X lead by 7 runs, the Y try to make their turning point, but may be luck was with the X. Good batting perfomance was also shown by the Y new member, I m really proud of him. In the end the X won 7-3.

As usual my unorganised stuff, is it my stuff or me who needs to be organized.

Kensei Champion of Raiders Tournament.

Raiders Tournament. Its a friendly tournament to lift team spirits and to maintain the good relations between teams. It was a very good game for the Kensei with few players from PLK Zombies were proudly invited by them. With good desciplines at bat and good defence and due to some poor defence by the Cougars (the mixed of Black Arrows and Gunners players) and also let down by the Cougars batting, the Kensei managed to score 8-1 runs by bottom 5th innings.

President's Cup

Softball in Brunei started again last sunday, its just that I was too tied up with works which made me unable to ubdate my blog which I think would be a good reason for me.

Anyway the results for PLK Zombies X was good, if only most players of PLK zombies Y did their homework, they'll did well too, well that was last week.

For today both team did well especially PLK zombies Y, they improved a lot in batting which ended up with a homerun by Parol the pikulai and Jack the freg.

Badshah of PLK zombies X also hit a homer against the Gregors. Well all three homeruns was the in-park homers.

Its so quite....

Softball in Brunei is so quite, since its the fasting month, so all softball activities is put on hold. But still there are few players who do light trainings, well I saw a few that did, while I was on my way to buy things to break my fast. Anyway, sadly ramadhan will end soon, and comes the syawal where us muslims celebrate the Aidilfitri, and soon the postponed tournament will start again hopefully, and hopefully the final between the Kensei and the cougars scheduled before the President's Cup, as planned. To both teams, good luck and play fair.. :)

Raiders Tournament 2007

Last weekend, there was a two days tournament organized by the Raiders softball team, participated by 6 teams which was divided into 2 groups. Group A consists of Kensei, Cougars and Bramuda(Did I spell that right?), while Group B consists of Dragon, New 'G' and Raiders. The aim of the tournament was to have fun and to better the relation between the players. The players were actually mixed, picked from different teams, where as of our team, Kensei was the mixture of Kensei players and some are invited from PLK Zombies Softball Club.The 1st game on the 1st day was delayed due to rain, the game which was to be played at 0730 Hrs was played at 0900ish Hrs. We played that game and won 6-3 against Bramuda. As for me it was quite an experience since that was the first game I played as a 1st baseman, and didnt commit any error.

For our 2nd game, it was against the Cougars, the mixture of Black Arrows, Gunners, and may be some from other team as well, so sorry guys I dont remember, we lost that game which I tends to forget the score. Oh well we managed to proceed to the semi against the Raiders when the Cougars beat the Bramuda on the 2nd day.

We played well against the Raiders consider that this is the first tournament all the real Kensei players played, we managed to win the game 6-5, Do I only remember the score when we win? Hmmm anyway the final was between us and the Cougars who have beaten New 'G' in the other semi if I'm not mistaken 13-3.

Unfortunately the final has to be postponed due to heavy downpour late yesterday afternoon. The final will be played on a friday after Aidilfitri before the sunday, the President's cup resume.

2nd Merdeka Day Mixed Softball Carnival - Day 2

It was the day we played our first game, against a team also from Brunei the All-stars. It was a very hot Miri saturday. We played 4 games where we lost against the All-stars and Miri Stealers and won against Wolf from Miri and Knights from Brunei. Actually not bad for us since our target for first day was just 2 wins or better.

With the organizer, the team that beat us on the first day and our last game for that day, the Miri Stealers.

First day in Miri

Its the first day or must I say the first night in miri. Well I departed from home at quarter to 6 pm, that was after a function. Then I picked up bobby then AD at their respective place, then meet up with our friends at K.K koya restaurant in Telisai, a bit advert I hope.

After a cup of nescafe that I drank, we start our journey to Miri Sarawak, to participate in a Softball tournament. If I'm not mistaken it's the 2nd mixed modified merdeka softball tournament, in conjunction with the Malaysia 50th independence day. It is actually a modified pitch thing, where almost like a slow pitch softball played with an extra player. But the player are mixed, where minimum 3 ladies must play at one time. where the ISF rules still applied, and this year only bats with ASA certified are allowed.

As we arrived at the Imperial Hotel in Miri, where we'll be staying until sunday, our team management welcome us with our apartment key, then urged us to have our dinner at if I'm not mistaken Madli's Restaurant, another advert there.

Anyway tomorrow at 8 am, will be our first game against the All Star, hope we do well in that game. Sorry no pics yet since i'm kinda slow, hopefully there will be some tomorrow.

Birthday Ball

My birthday may well have past, but yesterday I was given a Mizuno 150 as my birthday present. Its kinda special since that will be the first of any kind of ball given to me as a gift. Thank you very much to all of you, I dont think I have to mention names since picture says thousand words. Oh by the way, thanks also for all the stuffs inside the box, really helps you know, very kind of you and I really appreciated them.

Lawnbowling

Since the Softball President's Cup was postponed, PLK Zombies and Chikara took their time off from the "diamond" to try Lawnbowling. It was fun, its just that it was a very hot sunday afternoon. The coaches were great, really friendly and helping. I just hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon as I did.

A day @ Indoor Stadium

It was a previleged for us zombiezians to be given the opportunity to be involved with the roadshow of the sports under the ministry of youth and sports. Ofcourse we representing softball. It was really an half morning enjoying day especially with the lawn bowling, and the batting cage whre lots of people young and old tries to swing the bat.

Kejohanan Bola Lisut Kebangsaan 2007 pamer persembahan mantap

Kejohanan Bola Lisut Kebangsaan 2007 yang diadakan sejak awal bulan April lalu sudah berakhir baru-baru ini yang sekali lagi menobatkan pasukan Diva sebagai Juara bagi kategori wanita tahun ini sementara pasukan PLK Zombies bagi Juara kategori lelaki pada tahun ini.
Sebanyak sembilan buah pasukan wanita dan 13 buah pasukan lelaki telah menyertai kejohanan bola lisut kebangsaan 2007 sempena sambutan perayaan ulang tahun hari keputeraan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam ke-61.

Pasukan-pasukan wanita yang mengambil bahagian pada tahun ini ialah Diva, Pasadena, QD Vixen, Angels, Tornado, Comets, Wildcats, Red Arrows dan Sapphire.

Sementara pasukan lelaki ialah PLK Zombies, Black Arrows, Gunners, Wanderers, Jag Star, Warriors, Crankies Legend, Banzai, Gregor, Knights, Sluggers, R & R dan Steelers.

Kejohanan itu dianjurkan oleh Pasukan Bola Lisut Banzai yang ditaja bersama oleh Pemasaran Brunei Shell, NBT(Brunei) Sdn Bhd, Digital Impression, Sunlit Advertising, DSTCom dan Royal Brunei Airline.

Kejohanan dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan bagi setiap kategori yang mana mereka bersaing dengan pasukan-pasukan dari kategori masing-masing pada peringkat awal pusingan pertama 'round robin' sebelum memasuki pusingan pukul-mati 'Knock Out stage'.

Keputusan pusingan pukul-mati itu membawa pasukan-pasukan yang berjaya untuk memasuki perlawanan separuh akhir dimana Kahayan pasukan-pasukan dalam psuingan separuh akhir telah membawa semua pemenang-pemenang itu bersaing sekali lagi dalam perlawanan akhir yang menentukan juara tahun ini.

Juara bagi kategori lelaki telah membawa pulang wang tunai B$2000, sebuah piala kemenangan, piala rebutan kejohanan dan medal emas bagi setiap anggota pasukan sementara naib juara yang diduduki oleh pasukan Black Arrow telah meraih wang tunai B$1500,piala tempat kedua dan rantai medal perak.

Gunners yang menduduki tempat ketiga dalam kejohanan itu pula membawa pulang wang tunai B$1000, piala tempat ketiga dan medal gangsa bagi setiap anggota pasukan.

Juara bagi kategori wanita pula membawa pulang wang tunai B$1500, piala kemenangan, piala rebutan kejohanan dan medal emas bagi setiap anggota pasukan.

Naib Juara, Pasadena pula meraih wang tunai B$1000, piala tempat kedua dan medal perak bagi setiap anggota pasukan manakala pemenang tempat ketiga, Comets membawa pulang wang tunai B$500, piala tempat ketiga dan medal gangsa bagi setiap anggota pasukan.

Hadir dan seterusnya menyampaikan hadiah bagi kejohanan itu ialah Menteri Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri, Pehin Dato Haji Adanan Haji Mohd Yussof.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jumaat - Keinginan Black Arrow mempertahankan mahkota Kejohanan Bola Lisut Kebangsaan kecewa selepas mereka tewas 8-4 kepada PLK Zombies.
Kemenangan PLK Zombies diiringi dengan kenangan berharga bagi Mahdani Yaakub apabila dia dinobatkan sebagai pemain terbaik lelaki dalam perlawanan berkenaan.
Sementara itu, gelaran pemain terbaik wanita pula diberikan kepada Maria Eliza Abdullah.
Hadiah telah disampaikan oleh Menteri Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri, Pehin Dato Seri Setia Awang HajI Adanan HajI Mohd Yussof.

Juara bagi kategori lelaki telah membawa pulang wang tunai $2000, piala dan piala rebutan sementara naib juara iaitu pasukan Black Arrow telah membawa pulang wang tunai $1500 dan piala tempat kedua manakala pemenang tempat ketiga, Gunners membawa pulang wang tunai $1000.

The Ruler and the people

As the champions of the men's and ladies' BNST, PLK Zombies and Divas were proudly invited by the Organizer to attend the occassion today at Taman SOAS in Bandar Seri Begawan. Its the "Bersama rakyat" occassion where His Majesty the Sultan Of Brunei meets the people in conjunction of his 61st birthday. lots of people involved and it was a hot sunny sunday.
